Notes of State Bar of Texas meeting with top CDJ Consular Officials

On April 24, 2009, representatives from the State Bar of Texas, including our very own Paul Parsons and senior legal assistant Susan Sibrian, met with officials from the the U.S. Consulate and USCIS local office in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.

As part of our continuing effort to stay on top of all immigration law related news and developments, Ms. Sibrian took extensive notes of this meeting. While initially meant for the internal use and reference of our office, Ms. Sibrian's notes were so comprehensive that they were picked up by the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA)'s InfoNet news bulletin. Accordingly, we are also now making them available to the general public. Also included is a diagram of Paseo de la Victoria where the new consulate is located.

  1. These notes have NOT been approved by any U.S. government officials nor by the Committee on Laws Relating to Immigration & Nationality of the State Bar of Texas. We are circulating these notes and our diagram of the buildings located near our country's new U.S. Consulate in Juarez (the busiest in the world) with the hope that this information might be useful for lawyers' clients as well as unrepresented applicants for immigrant and nonimmigrant visas in Juarez.

The notes may be downloaded in .pdf format here. The street diagr

am is also available in .pdf format here.
